Nolan’s Big Night! United Way “United By Song”

On the evening of October 23, 2023, the Capitol Theatre in Downtown Moncton was filled with warmth, not just from the pleasant fall temperatures outside, but also from the magical atmosphere that filled the air. The United Way proudly presented an event called United By Song, where four extraordinary individuals graced the stage to share their inspiring stories.

United By Song brought to us stories of perseverance and passion, overcoming struggles and finding joy. It also brought to us original songs written and performed by well known local artists, presented for the first time ever onstage at the Capitol.

Individuals from agencies supported by United Way were invited to participate, and we were honored to have Nolan Dobbin represent Open Sky Co-Operative.

During the event, Nolan, accompanied by Michelle Melanson, spoke about how Open Sky has played a pivotal role in enabling him to lead a fulfilling and productive life. He shared his personal growth both on the farm and in his private life, captivating everyone with his quick wit, charm, and infectious smile. We cannot express enough gratitude to Nolan for his classy representation of Open Sky.

We are excited to share the heartfelt lyrics of Nolan's song, "Me and Louis (Life's for Living)," which was beautifully written by Alex Madsen, a talented musician known for his involvement in various local groups, including the popular band, The Divorcees.
