When the owners of Anderson’s Greenhouse decided to retire in 2022, and close their long-standing, successful business in Sackville, Open Sky was invited to help fill the void and consider growing and selling flower and vegetable bedding plants. We accepted the invitation and added this new social enterprise to our established programs.
Open Sky Retail Greenhouse operated at the previous location on School Lane for 2 seasons (2023 & 2024). We did this alongside Joni Fleck-Andrews, who started The Little Plant Nursery (LPN) at the same time. This collaborative venture for Open Sky and for “LPN” worked well.
In 2025, Open Sky decided to move its operation to the main farm location at 12 Folkins Dr. to better integrate its programs. The greenhouse provides Open Sky participants opportunities to discover strengths, develop transferable job skills, and build confidence in new ways.
