There are several ways to get involved at Open Sky Co-operative, and you don’t have to be a member to do so!
- As a resident;
- As a day program participant;
- As a volunteer;
- As a community member;
- As a staff person;
- As a consumer of our wonderful produce.
Resident – See Residential Program
Day Program Participant – We provide programming to adults who face barriers due to social, developmental or mental health challenges. We have day programs available for adults from the Sackville area, Monday to Friday during Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Programs include farm and garden activities, food preparation, life skills workshops and social and recreational activities. Contact Us for more information.
Volunteer – We welcome adults to come and provide supportive volunteer work, to help us in our residence and in our farm work. If you have time and skills to offer, please Contact Us. We would love to hear from you and get you involved! For more information visit our Volunteering page.
Community member – We welcome people from the community who are interested in offering time and talents to the co-operative enterprise of Open Sky. You must be committed to co-operative principles and be willing to provide time and commitment. Membership fees are nominal. Contact Us for more information.
Staff person – We sometimes have job openings. It may help if you plan to come and see us (maybe as a volunteer first) to learn about our approach, and see if Open Sky Co-operative appeals to you. Then, if working here still interests you, please let us know, so that we can inform you when we have a job opening.
Consumer – Open Sky Co-operative sells some of our produce at the Sackville Farmers Market. During the summer and fall, you can often find fresh produce for sale through our Community Shared Agriculture program. If you would like more information about our CSA program, please visit our CSA page. If you have an interest in buying directly from us at the farm, please Contact Us.
