Open Sky welcomed over 45 volunteers from businesses in the Greater Moncton Area on June 13th for the United Way Day of Caring! While hospitality preparations were being made on the farm, the volunteers enjoyed a breakfast in Moncton, where they met Open Sky’s own Norm Hunter, who was invited to speak at this kickoff meal for over 900 members of the community participating in this annual event. We had an amazing day on October 5th, welcoming dozens of volunteers and friends to accomplish many building projects, food extravaganzas and gardening blitzes! Thanks for all the hard work, creativity and good spirits that made it such an achievement! Hello friends! In celebration of National Kale Day (which is purported to be October 2nd) we are hosting a grand day of partying, on October 5th: a work party – 8am to 4pm a kitchen party – 10am to 4pm a kale buffet party – 4pm to 8pm You are welcome to join us in  a work party that helps us clear up the gardens and ‘batten down the hatches’ as we prepare for winter. It seems like the summer was just starting, and already the winds are blowing cooler air, and the shadows are lengthening! We miss our summer students, Sam and Katey, who have recommenced their studies at Mount Allison University. It sure seems quieter around here without them!
